On August 15th, there will be a Mississippi History Paddle Excursion. It’s a unique opportunity to learn the history of Brainerd from the water. Bring your own kayak, canoe, or paddle board and enjoy a peaceful paddle on the Mississippi River from Lum Park to Kiwanis Park. Along the way you can stop and view signage of where past structures were, where events were held, and learn how they helped shape the community. This event is free and there will be a free shuttle service provided to return participants to Lum Park to retrieve vehicles.
